I can run tarascon from the card by putting the prc on the card and the database on the palm.. This is dumb though because it saves only 90 k or however big the prc is
How can you run tarascon by keeping the lard 3mb database on the card? is it possible? if so what folders do they need to be onfor it to work?
thanks!

Try putting the small reader prc in RAM and the large database pdb on the card. I think mine is in the Launcher folder. No problems for me.

How do I put the Tarascon ePharmacopoeia on the card? I don't have the option to install it on the card. Thanks
I installed it with no problems....first use the installer. Once it says files all set to install go to the Palm tool/install program and highlight the 3 or so pdb or prc files....hit the "install to card" or "install to MS" button. Then hotsync. I think it puts them in the "launcher" file on MS but not sure. It works no problems.
Good luck,
Flip :)
I just tried with 1.7....I couldn't "change destination" on the files. Unsure why. Older versions worked....I guess we are hosed.

I've got 1.17.1 (which is the latest version, as far as I know...I just downloaded it), and can change the destination fine...

I do MS swaps a bit differently, but it's just the way I like it as it is much simpler.
A card reader makes life really easy, especially for adding other directories, which I think some of you are having difficulty with. It basically reads the card as another drive, and allows you to do all the assorted activities with it.
I know, it's another $60, but FOR ME, it is way more convienent.
The prc. file is automatically added to your RAM after you have double clicked on the file (Sometimes called an application file); it is then placed automatically in the palm install tool to be transfered to the palm after the next hot-synch. IF you have a card reader (or use MS export), put the pdb. or database file on the card that way, usually in the correctly mentioned launcher sub-directory. Isilo documents also can be placed here and read from the reader on the palm.
I may be restating everything, if not, hope it helps.

I have the TG50.
I just copy the whole program onto my MS using powerrun. It does not take up any ram memory when not running. Since I have the ARM 200mhz processor it takes about 8 seconds for it to load it into RAM when I run it. No problems. Love the program.

I'd try downloading the latest version and see if you can get the large database file onto the card using the Palm Install Tool's "Change Destination" function as mentioned above. If you still can't get it to work, you can install everything to RAM, then use MSGate, Files, McFile, etc. to move the database file (Tarascon.pdb or something similar) to the MS. I used this method and had no problems... just make sure you put it in the Launcher subdirectory on the MS. Good luck.
