I am getting a T5 next week and I understand that it does not come with a cradle. Possibly a stupid question: but would it be compatible with the cradle of my current Zire71?

If not I will have to try and buy a new T5-compatible cradle.

From what I've heard, it is not. The T5 uses a new connector that hasn't been used on previous models. (Multimedia connector or something like that)

Thank you! I see that the T5 cradle is quite expensive very, in fact :(

I might try to rig up a cradle type thing of my own - perhaps taping the T5's cable to my current cradle, and balancing the T5 on top.

You get it cheaper if you don't buy from PalmOne direct. :cool:

Still I'd have prefered the cradle being in the box.

Yep. I think if it's going to be the "flagship" of the PalmOne line (as the name would suggest), they should at least have the decency to include a cradle (never mind all the other things I find wrong with the device - but that's for another thread). I sure hope it gets better than this.

Yes, they are cheaper here, but you need to be patient. I've been waiting over two weeks for the cradles to come in , and the tracking order still says I have another 7 days to wait. Does anybody actually have them in stock?
