Just got back from a one-week trip to the Balkans. I was ticked that the basic charger than comes with the T5 is only 110V, AND the travel adapter isn't available yet. I went out and bought a 240-110v adapter to take -- and never used it.

The USB cable seemed to charge the battery on the entire trip. Granted, I had long periods where the T5 was connected to my laptop and turned off (somebody posted a message about some testing he did on this, but I can't locate it now). Overall battery life is fantastic.

Anyway, it does appear that the T5 charges through the USB connector, but it may do so slowly.

Cheers,
Leo

Thanks for this info, Leo. I wonder why p1 doesn't mention USB charging. Maybe because it is low rate and slow, so they don't want customers relying on it inadvertently.

I can confirm that it is definitively charging via the USB-Cable. Also via the USB-Travel-Cable from Palmone, but REALLY slow.
I connected it yesterday evening to my desktop and the T5 had 60% battery-Power. After 9 Hours connected via USB it hat 99%!

But you need to note that not all computers / laptops will have enough electrical power from the USB port, let alone many laptops just won't give out any USB power when switched off. So, PalmOne made the right choice in not informing us of this particular fact (if it's really true).

Please note that it makes a difference whether you are connected to a USB 2.0 or 1.1. Only the former have the ability to charge significantly.
