MP3 Remote no longer working.

My problem is with a NR70/V.

When I plug in my remote and headphone jack combo it no longer functions. The headphone jack works fine, however the remote no longer has any function (ie, play/stop, skip track, vol up/down).

Any one had this problem before?

If you have the hold button on the remote pressed in the direction of the arrow on the remote, it holds the settings of the remote at the postion when the hold button was pushed.

I checked on that. I even tried rocking the button/switch back and forth while pressing different buttons and still no help.

Just for grins I opened the remote and looked for anything obvious (broken traces, pulled wire, etc.), and could see nothing wrong.

Try checking your audioplayer preferences-- toggling the "enable background play" checkbox (or checking it if it's unchecked) might fix it.

Mine's working fine, though, so I can't test this theory.

Your in luck, the NR units still havent been out for a year yet. Contact Sony, get a return authorization number and they will get you all fixed up..

You haven't got a hack that changes the commands on this unit, there are a few that are there and I found if you forgot you had it on it gives you a slight worry
