Hey guys,
I was walking around campus today, listening to my cool tunes on my UX50 and I came to the realization that having 1 device that will allow me to do everything, even talk on the phone, would be sweet. Uh-oh...Treo?! I got 2 missed calls cause I couldn't hear my cell due to the headphones. With the Treo, that wouldn't be a problem. It would be a lot more convenient, wouldn't it?

You should move your comments to the Treo section of the forum, (politely) we dont really need it here -BennieBoi

I have a MSI mp3 player with a bluetooth feature which could alert me when I got a call.
maybe someone could add this feature to ux50

My T630 has this handy 'Vibrate' function (as have all the mobiles I have had in the past 5 years). So when the phone rings with an incoming call it vibrates in my pocket thus alerting me to the fact that the phone requires attention whilst blasting my ears to shreds listening to MP3s on my UX or watching a movie.... or playing a game really loud with head phones on. ;)

TREO!
all in one devices are cool :p
people are always asking "is that a phone? or an organizer?"
the 650 might be the perfect device if you are looking for something like that
the 600 was an excellent device, and i don't plan to upgrade until 650 prices start to fall
might i add that with my treo, i can have 8 hours of mp3 playback and still have 60% battery life left

But can I put a Treo in my back pocket like my UX50?
My phone goes in front pocket and clie in back pocket. I really don't want to be a utility belt nerd (no offense to anyone).

.PoNeH Don't get jealous yet, Because I bet you Sony is coming out with the new clie line with EVERYTHING built in soon. That's what I'm waiting on, and PLUS your UX50 has so much life in it still just enough til' sony comes up with the new line, just get a bluetooth phone with high res cam and internet, the gps nav for ux, etc to keep you happy with new stuff until then. CLIE!!!!

You know your post is not out of order. I don't understand the the rejecting you received. Since you have a UX50 this area would be home base and your comments of temptation is natural since the Treo line is greatly improving. I see that product in the same light too.
What improvements are going on with our UX50 line? Other products still in the arena are making an afford to better the P.D.A. (Palm) class. Sony has no loyalty to any of us, so don't bash your fellow man for looking to into a better product for his needs.
Remember the Treo is a great series and is only getting better, as is the Clie(UX50) but it's never going to get better.

I've had a treo 300, a Hitachi G1000, and now a UX. I intentionally did not get a treo 600 because I didn't want to go back to a low res screen.
I can come up with arguments both ways for every single one of the choices. Have to make your decision based on what you do. The biggest drawback is the square screen. Can your needs be met with a smallish square 320x320 screen? Are you taking notes in Docs to Go? Using the spreadsheet application? Browse the web a lot? If so - then the small screen may get on your nerves.
N ow if you said the new PPC6600 there'd be no hesitation. The only thing I didn't like about the G was lack of a backlight on the keyboard. That was one cool phone. I know it was a brick, but it runs circles around the treo and even my UX.
