Zuma is coming out soon. It is made by Astraware.
If you like the PC version of Zuma, then you probably like the Palm version also.

Now that it's been released, I must say Zuma really is an outstanding game! Addicting gameplay, and really great music. This is the first Palm game where I feel the music enhances gameplay (I usually just turn off music)...
Fellow Zuma players:
Once you complete all the level 1 screens, every new game start by default starts at the first level of level 2 (Level 2-1). How do you start a new game from the very beginning (Level 1-1)?

click on the circled purple portion to select stage 1 as the starting level. Ppl who've beaten stage one alr will have the fire (cursor) set to stage 2, the middle door by default
nm... 1src don't take bitmap images.... on the stage select screen with the "Temple of Zululkan" name displayed on the bottom, just click the door/opening on the left, and it'll change from "stage1" to stage2". Then tap play
Ahhhh... I see... Thanks Ackmondual!!!

I love Zuma! I was so excited to see it come out for PalmOS. Unfortunately, it's running pretty choppy on my NX80V, of course I'm probably just spoiled by the desktop version.

My wife and I have been Zuma-ers (?) for a while.
I only play casually, but she has wrung the PC version dry several times.
I just put down my TH55 in stunned amazement. It's not perfect, in fact it runs a bit choppy BUT it is also pretty much the same exact game, even down to the natives! :D
I left shadows and music off, but if it's written to take advantage of the TH55's capabilities then it shouldn't really reflect in increased video performance all that much.
I'd love to compare how it runs next to the NX80V side by side. If we both see mere choppiness I wonder if it's running correctly but might have some sort of inherent flaw elswhere?
Even in it's present form it's playable and enjoyable for me, but I'll hand it off to my wife and let HER decide! ;)
Well done, Astraware. You continue to amaze!

I love Zuma on the desktop and just run the demo on my UX. It takes the whole screen and doesn't run choppy at all. I may have to buy it:)

Okay, the wifey gives it a 4 out of 10 stars, based mostly on how slow and choppy iit runs on my TH55.
I'm not an expert on these things, I was just impressed with seeing it on my handheld at all.
Still a cool game.
PLEASE DO INCADIA NEXT!

There is also a discount if you are a member at the Daily Gadget!
Still absolutely loving Zuma, but I'm stuck on Level 4-5! Just can't seem to get past it yet. I've come pretty close a few times...
Any hints from Zuma strategists out there? Though I'm not sure how much strategy is involved with Zuma. Seems like you just have to be fast and a bit lucky with the order the balls come out...

The orange bar at the top right stops the flow of the balls once it's filled. Since that's determined by how many points you get (like Bej2 with the progress bar), It helps if you get combos (getting rid of multiple chains with one ball) to help pass the levels much quicker, since its exponentially more score.
You also get 5,000 pts for hitting coins lying around, and maybe even higher for additional coins, that's another quick boost right there, altho difficult once the balls start to cover it.
Finally, if u shot balls thrue gaps betw balls, u get points. The smaller the gap, the more points u get. Never tried this... or noticed it if I accidentally did it bef.
As an exeriment see if u can get past level 1-1 within 30 sec. On options screen check the box that shows elapsed time. Also, when u complete a level, don't just OK the debriefing screen. Tap 'next' to see what the bonus time is. That's what u wanna beat, not only for a better score, but to improve your combo mashing skills. Once i realized it was points and not # of balls that fill the progress bar, i tried shooting for combos and go freakishly lucky. Beat level 1-1 in only 15s! Lots of bonus points there
