What are these for? Can I play my AAC files from iTunes on there now, can I possibly play my purchased music from iTunes with these, since the NZ90 supports DRM. Anybody know, If you use McFile you'll see what I mean but what are these doing here.

That AAC decoder is for MoviePlayer to play QT MPEG-4 (MQV: MobileMovie) format video. It is used by Sony's mutli-media system only. Not for 3rd parties programs (except CliePet's FullScreen Player).

Currently the AAC decoder will play back the audio track from MQV (NX/NZ/TH/UX/VZ) and MP4 (VZ90) movies files formatted for the CLIE

AFAIK: they primarily play 24kHz audio (lower quality)
I am still trying to trick the codecs into handling more general AAC formats (if I can figure out the Avx interface directly).
If it is not hard coded to specific AAC encoding bitrates (like the MP3 player is) it *may* be possible to play raw M4A files [ie. you need to "fair use" strip the copy protection of purchased iTunes songs using commonly available tools]

The AAC encoder is used for audio compression for the movie recorder.
BTW: The "DRM" on the CLIEs is a different model than iTunes

Thank you CliePet, I will say I currently use your MCA2 and Full Movie Player, both are exalent programs, but one request, can you figure out how to make Real Player work on the clie's, esp the NZ90, I tried to make it work with MCA2, but no luck, or Is there a certain file I need to use from the T|3 to make it work.
