Cannot complete Palm Desktop installation

I just changed from a Clie NZ90 to a Palm T3.

Removed the Missing Sync and Palm Desktop from my Powerbook G4( as I wanted to give a fresh ID and start on the new T3).However, I am unable to complete the installation (either on the CD or the file from Palmone), in either easy or custom mode.
The installation stops after about 15 files with an error message of " Sorry, the operation could not be completed due to a system error (Access denied). I am the only user of the powerbook, with Admin rights.

Even though you are the admin you must unlock the applications folder so that you can install the program. I assume you updated to .3.6 for this to occur. Just highlight the applications folder and right click to get the "Get Info" from there unlock it under the "Ownership and Permissions" tab and give yourself read and write access.
