Downloaded the PG link that said 1.16 and after syncing it still shows 1.15. :(

Also, it says I need Fonts4OS5 3.01 or higher, but I don't see where 3.01 is available yet?

Try downloading it from ZLThemes (http://www.zlthemes.com/ProductDetailListing.php?PID=75). Fonts4OS5 3.01 hasn't been released yet, but should be shortly. I can't wait to get home and try the new iSilo output!

Actually what I downloaded from PG was a zip file labeled 1.16, but the "About" window on the app probably just didn't get updated, as I can see Fonts4OS5 fonts in RAM in the FontCollector window. But when I try to convert/save, the popup window says I need Fonts4OS5 3.01. So . . . that's what I eagerly await!!!! :D I hope PG doesn't go 3 days between updates again! I'll monitor Handango as well! ;)

And the beat goes on . . . :D
I think I've figured out this seemingly fantastic package scheme . . . Fonts4OS5 3.01's release will be drug out until we beg on our hands and knees (I'm close! :D ), and then will carry an upgrade price of $69.95!!!!! :D

1. As often happens, I forgot to update all the "1.15" texts to "1.16" in cfont.rcp. What PG has is 1.16. Easiest way to check is to make sure that you have the Mobipocket output option which was added in 1.16.
2. Somewhat amusingly, I released 1.16 before Lubak even sent me a copy of the updated Fonts4OS5 (I hacked up my own update for testing purposes). As a result, I didn't realize he was calling it 3.1 rather than 3.01. Anyway, he sent me 3.1 this morning, and Fonts4OS5 recognizes it.
3. I'd like to do the same thing for FontSubst export (i.e., allow export for registered users). Email the FontSubst developer if you're interested and are a registered user of FontSubst. I sent him an email querying him how to detect a registered version and whether he would mind me including the export option. (Ditto for the PiLoc developers.)
4. Version 1.20 will no longer require OS 5, but will work on OS 3.5 and up. It won't be very useful there, but I guess it'll have some use for generating Plucker and PalmBible+ font packs. (It'll be capable of generating Fonts4OS5 and other font packs, but what's the point since FontSubst works fine there. One nice feature will be conversion from Font Silo to Fonthack 123, though.) However, pre-OS5 hi-res support is going to be poor. (Plucker will work with Clie hi-res fonts produced by FC 1.20. PB+ will not, because FC isn't going to generate the paired high/low resolution fonts that are needed for Fonthack hi-res.)

Don't be too excited. It's only iSilo-compatible. I don't generate Font Silo files (they're a nuisance), but only Fonthack 'Font'/'Font' files which iSilo's Font Silo can read.

Now I'm a happy camper! :D Gill 14 and Comic Sans 20 together at last! ;)

The next version of FontSubst will also allow Font Collector to export fonts for registered users. The FontSubst author just needs to add a facility for Font Collector to check whether FontSubst is registered.
