Hot sync problem

I am having a problem hot syncing consistently, sometimes it works some times it doesnt. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and cant figure out the problem. Can you guys help me out.

Maybe cleaning the contacts at the bottom of your Clie?

if u right click on the hotsync icon sometimes mine is unchecked from local usb is yours uncheck on w/e u use?-
