I have the bluetooth working between the TG50 and my Timeport 270. The browser works great, email works fine. Keyboard is better than walking around with a stoaway. I wish alternate characters for the keys were also backlite becase they are very very hard to see. They should have made the bluetooth connection auto-enable when an app needs it. SONY, STOP PUTING LEDs on your Clies (VERY Annoying). They could have at least allowed us to turn them off in the prefrences.

Or make it a solid light. I don't like the "emergency flasher" on the top flashing, and wish it wasn't there at all. You know, if you put the flashing Bluetooth light on the Clie next to a Red flashing light of the same size, you could have a police car. Or, if you get stranded becide the road you can flash down help with the Bluetooth light.

:D When I saw the pic on sony style, i though that is just for "illlustration purpose" only! Was is as bright as some keyring LED lights?:D ?Then we might have discover a alternate use of our clie!!

How do you setup bluetooth between a phone and tg50 to get internet? I use t-mobile for cell phone and have gprs access. Do I need to have an isp like earthlink to use the phone as a modem to surf or can I simply use the gprs data service from tmobile?

kcth-you should be able to connect and use Tmobile's service-altho you do have to pay for a wireless internet fee-look into tmobile's list of plans, they should have some add on thing for internet

If you have a data plan you can use gprs.
On a t39:
go to settings/data com (should be in settings but if its not just look through the menus)
then data accounts/add account/gprs data/make a name that you can remeber (like palm, not internet)/apn/wap.voicestream.com/yes/user id/your phone number/yes/password/the password you use on the t-mobile web site (call them if you need help here)/yes/no
here remeber the numer that is after cid= "x"
On the clie : preferences/network/make a new one/user name=same as on phone/password=same as on phone/phone number=*99***#(put the cid number here without the quotes)
For the connection use the paired phone
If you havnt done this go to connection/bluetooth to t39m/edit/(now go on the phone and go to bluetooth/discoverable/then bluetooth again(in extras i think)/paired devices/connect/phone accepts (or something similar, just mess around a bit)
on clie: pair the devices, put in the password on both phone and clie and it should connect then go to network and click connect
good luck and search the net if you don't understand this, rusty off the top of my head explanation
