Currently I use CFtoDoc to convert the txt files on ms into doc files in RAM. Then after editng with a doc editor, I reconvert the doc in RAM to txt in ms. This is slow and laborious.
Actually the txt files I am editing are actually htm files. This is my cheap way of doing html editing. However, with large html files, the conversion is very slow.
So does any know of an editor that will not ONLY allow me to VIEW txt files on ms (eg TealPoint, iSilo) but ALSO allow me to EDIT the txt (htm) on ms?
The only difference between an uncompressed doc file and a txt file is the extra header for the doc file. This comes up as jibberish when viewed on NetFront.
The closest to this functionality is MiniWrite which allows browsing the ms for doc files in any folder on the ms. It allows editng the doc files on ms compressed and uncompressed. It seems a small change in code to allow it to edit txt files on ms with the browsing ability too. Ideally it would allow opening of any file like notepad on the pc. Then I would be able to edit htm on the ms and skip the conversion and reconversion process.
Any solutions?
