NX vs NZ thread on other forum!

I started an NX70V vs. NZ90 thread on the NZ thread and didn't want to cross post, but I thought if some NX folk wanted to be heard it would be good to make note of the thread here.

Problem is I don't know which to buy to replace my T665. Please chk the thread and add your two cents--

Well, I know, but wanted to be sure the NX folk had plenty of opportunity to be heard. I'm still up in the air. Just read the 2 part review of the NX60 at Kenneth Rhee's reviews--and now I start wondering about buying that.

And then there's the talk about the soon-to-be-announced upgrade to the NX70. Maybe I should just sit tight for a while?

LOL, it's enough to drive one crazy, especially when we have to make major decisions like this.

Here's what I would do, the core of the NX's is basically the same as the NZ. My gut felling tells me that there will be some slicker units coming out in a few months. If you spend the big bucks for the NZ, you may kick yourself later. Get the cheaper unit and find a warranty program that allows you to upgrade at a later date. This way you can have your cake and eat it too. I think Comp USA offers this, but I would check just to be sure. Some said you don't even have to buy the PDA from them originally.

I dont totally understand the whole upgrade thing. I bought my NX70 from a place in Omaha called Nebraska Furniture Mart. The guy said something about if Sony comes out with a new model, I can trade in. Does that mean I pay the difference. I guess I should ask them. What does the CompUSA offer intail?

Oh yes, you would pay the difference, if there is one. Some places like Comp USA have more comprehensive policies, but you pay for them.

And of course now I'm wondering what the /U is about. Pls tell me this is nothing to worry about. Or otherwise, if otherwise.

Does this trade up thing you're talking about come automatically with any Sony purchase, or is that a deal specific to particular vendors.
