What is the safest way to clean a t 665 screen, and what products are good? And is it ok to use rubbing alcohol?

Cleaning the screen:

General rule of thumb- if it is safe to use on eyeglasses, CDs, etc., then it is OK for the PDA screen.

General rule #2- Instead of spraying anything on an electronics screen (PDA, TV. monitor, etc.), spray it on a soft cloth and clean the screen with the cloth. This keeps excess liquid from dripping into the electronics.

Alcohol will 'craze' plastics, keep it to a minimum. Most GLASS cleaners (like Windex, etc.) contain alcohol. Aim instead for plastic cleaners, like for eyeglasses. Occasional shots of a real glass cleaner won't hurt, but I'd strongly recommend a safer option!

'Huffing' on the screen is good, but if you need something 'stronger', try a plastics cleaner.

By the way, lens tissues are safer than the relatively coarse facial tissues. It may take a while to see, but coarser tissues and paper towels will eventually leave a haze of micro-scratches on your glasses, CDs, camera lense, and PDA screens.

I use a lens pen with great success. You can pick them up for <$5 at a camera shop.

lens cleaner sprayed onto a cloth for cleaning, and I use Zymol car wax for protection.

the wax is a blue liquid, very soft. Put a small dab onto a corner of a cloth, then apply to the screen, taking care to stay away from the edge (doesn't harm, just tough to remove the blue color from the seam between glass and cover).

The Zymol reduces friction greatly, making stylus writing smoother. Less friction' less chance of scratches from the stylus.
