I have been converting files to the clie for the movieplayer that the nx series comes with. However movies of files over 30min dont seem to play correctly or have sound. I have enough space on my memory stick but they dont seem to work . Sometimes they do but not from the beginning and sometimes i have to reset for them to play. I found out that if you try them through clie viewer the movie will continuously restart itself until you have to reset however in the movieplayer you can get it to work sometimes. Any ideas?? I have kinoma but the size is huge compared to movieplayers.

And is there any way to turn off hi res because I cant seem to play certain games since there is no tab under settings for the hi res anymore.

Thanks

I have tried different movies but larger files such or long movies dont play you can scroll through the movie like a picture show and in theory probaly make scroll through like a movie but then i'd break the jog dial and blister my thumb...Sigh... but nonetheless I was just wondering if anyone else expermented with full movies.

So nobody really knows about this problem? I heard the nx series has a problem with sound but... I hear that some people can make things work with the nx series and get sound if they encode in a certain way. So does anybody know how to do that?

Thanks

do they play fine on your computer? I haven't had any problems with the movie player on my NX. I have also heard of people playing whole movies on their NX with no problem. I don't think there is any problem with sound on the NX except for the fact that Sony won't release the sound API but that doesn't affect the movie player.

there is no way to turn off hires on os5 devices. We all have this problem with old apps but are living with it.

bigger movies typically have some sort of compression that messes up the clie player, for instance DivX or something similar. Decompress the video in TMPenc or something like that and then send it to clie and they should work.
