I just ordered my Clie NX, finally, and was asking a question:

Which screen protector should I buy? I am contemplating two of them. Either the Brando screen protector or the ClearTouch screen protector from boxwave.com

Which one should I get?

Well, I also ordered my NX from amazon with 50 dollar mail in rebate, no tax, no shipping, and just ordered my new Vaja case with the Ultra clip belt clip. I got the 58 dollar one cuz I didnt want to spend 128.

Thanx in advance

I found the clearest and best screen protector was the G2 from:

There are several threads already here that you should search on to get eveyone's opinion. Try the "search" box.

Enjoy.

When I first bought my NX70, I bought a Sony screen protector to go with it. I was extremely disappointed with the Sony SP. The SP was scratched after only 2 weeks of use. After a mere one month of use. the graffiti area was so scratched that when viewing documents full screen, the scratched area obscured the text !

I have recently bought a Brando SP and so far, after one week of use, I have been very satisfied. What I like about the Brando :

* easy to apply (took less than 5 minutes compared to 30 minutes to put the Sony SP on)

* clearer than the Sony SP - sometimes it's hard to even see that there's a SP on the device

* much more scratch resistant than the Sony

cheers,

Anyone think I am safe going witht he writerights, or do you think that it scratches easily?

writerights are the worst I have used. not only do you have to replace them every 3 to 4 weeks, but they also are not clear and make the screen look terrible. I would highly suggest NOT getting writerights. Right now I am using an innopocket protector and it works perfect. Had it for about 4/5 months and still looks practically brand new. I got it from cliesource store.

I saw a writeright that was on the NX at bestbuy and it looked pretty good. price is also an issue.

writerights don't look to bad until you take them off and see how good the picture/color/etc. quality is on the screens on our clies. Then you don't want to put another one on. Price is very misleading. $20 for 10 writerights, which will last you 10 to a year max. $10 for 1 innopocket (or brando i think) which will last you 6 months or more. You aren't really saving any money buy buying the writerights. Another thing about writerights, the glare on them is terrible.

Again, I strongly suggest NOT using writerights. I used them on my N760c for about 6 months (because I didn't know there were other brands) but now I use innopocket on my NX and can't imagine ever using writerights again.

I had a Brando on my T665 and it was great. Went on easy, no bubbles, lasted for months. I bought one for my NX had a h*ll of a time getting it on cleanly. After wrestling with it I ended up throwing it away. But I ordered another one because I liked it so well on my "T" series. If you don't get it on right the first time your scr*wed. Bubbles and dust.
