Hi I was wondering if there are any programs out there that would let me down load power point files and view them on my clie 760, and if there is would I be able to draw digital ink notes on then(kinda like what the pc tablets do). Thanks in advanced

When there are a few slides that I'm interested in carrying around, I simply convert them to JPG and view them with AcidImage.

RepliGo does a great job at letting you view PPT files, but it doesn't let you edit them in any way. Depending on which Clie you have, you may have a copy of Presenter-To-Go on the CD that came with your Clie. This is normally an app that lets you hook your Clie up to a projector to use for presentations, but if you don't have the connector, you can still use it as a PPT viewer. RepliGo does a better job as a viewer, but Presenter To Go is free if it came on your CD.

To do exactly what you want with the digital ink, you can save the slides as JPGs from PowerPoint, then load them on to the Clie using MSImport (it's actually better to have MSImport open during the Save step so that they'll save directly to the MS. Then, if you have an NX, you can use PhotoEditor to draw on the slides.

I have a N760 is that program only available for the NX?

PhotoEditor is only on the NX and NZ (and probably TG). It's a replacement for CliePaint, which may have been on the 760, but I don't think it could handle JPG files. If CliePaint is on your device, you can use the earlier steps, but before you move the JPGs to the MS, open PictureGearLite on your PC (available on the Clie disk if you haven't installed already) and choose File-Export files to Clie Handheld (this is from memory, but it's something like that) and the files will be converted to PGP format and placed on the Clie MS. Or you can pick an option that says something like 'Place on Clie during next Hotsync', and the pics will be synced to RAM. Then use CliePaint to do the digital ink part. Once you're done, you'll be given the option to save the pics, and if you then need them back on the PC, you can just Hotsync and use PictureGearLite to view the pics, which will be stored in your Backup directory on the PC (probably something like C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\{Clie User Name}\Backup.

I dont meant to complain but I have been trying out repligo and Im overclocking my clie at 52Mhz and its still kinda slow, any other programs that run faster? I dont think I want to pay $40 for something that slow

The best PowerPoint app that i've found is QuickPoint. It's allows greater detail than Docs2go.

You can have it have QP store presentation quality slides on you palm at 1024x768 (lots of space required).

Or, just to view them to practice, you can set a detail up to 800x600.

You can also zoom, plus other stuff, and i believe there is a digital ink option.

I dont think I want to pay $40 for something that slow RepliGo is definitely very slow for PPT slides for whatever reason. It's even slow on my NX at 200 MHz. None of their other file types that I've tried are even remotely slow, so it must be something related to graphics. But I thought Presenter-To-Go was also slow, and converting the slides to view with something like AcidImage produced imperfect rendering in my tests.

Actually Documents to Go has a better PowerPoint program than Quickpoint. I own both suites and tested them both. I had couple slideshows that were completely blank in Quickpoint [latest version of Quickoffice with native support]. Same slideshows worked perfectly in Documents to Go.

I uninstalled the whole Quickoffice suite and went back to Docs to go.

Documents to Go Premium -- www.dataviz.com -- will sync, view, and edit PowerPoint files. dunno whether or not you can actually write on the slide itself or just the notes on the slide. You might download it and try it out. "Slideshow to go" it the handheld program that runs the Powerpoint files.

I have Premium but I've not used that feature . ..
