MQV and MP4 audio freq

I've noticed that the audio in the MQV and MP4 files I produced with the IC1 and IC2 have 22050Hz as the freq (seen through the audio properties using quicktime). The sources (MOV and AVI files) have 44100Hz as the audio freq.

Is this really the default audio setting in Image Converter? or have I done something wrong? i'm using Quicktime 6.3 pro player edition...
