If I look under Info the Calendar DB has 3591 records and the DateBook DB has 3478 records. I have only 1 record in the ToDo DB. On my Mac my PIM (Personal Organiser by Chronos) has 3478 Events and Appointments.

Any idea what the extra stuff in the Calendar is ?

Thanks - Michael

I'm quite surprised that they're different. They are supposed to mirror each other. When Palm (One/Source) brought out the new PIMs and needed new fields, they made new databases. In order to maintain compatibility with older apps, they retained the old versions. The operating system mirrors the contents back and forth as required. That they are different is strange but I don't know enough of the details to know for sure whether it's a problem. One possibility is that the extra records have been marked deleted and are waiting to be archived, but again I don't know this for sure - I'm just guessing.

If you suspect corruption, what you might try is to do a full backup using a card backup utility such as CardBackup (just in case). Then do a HotSync to make sure your desktop backup is up to date. Then set every conduit to Do Nothing except Calendar. Set that to Desktop Overwrites handheld. Then Hotsync. This should restore the syncronized version of Calendar and also Datebook. Then check the sizes.

No idea, but mine are different, too.
