I am a physician, looking for someone with some knowledge of Handbase or databases in general, I am designing a patient tracking database and have come across a few problems that require an expert, I have tried posting in the Handbase Usergroup, but got no response after, it seems dead in there, so decided to take my chance on 1src.com
I willpost some of the questions I have on here, if someone is able to help on a one-2one basis, it would even be better.

1. I have a field for Length of Stay (How Many Days a patient has
been in the hospital) which is calculated from today's date minus
date of admission. I also have a Discharge field which is a check
button. I want to create another field that stops the Length of Stay
count as soon I check the discharge field.

2. When I print a view on a deskjet or laser printer, why do I get all the other fields printing as well? even blank fields? is there any way I can have only the fields selected in the view to print? I use PrintBoy .

3. I will need help with the report generator at some point in future
to help me print patient notes when the database is more developed.
Any takers?
Cheers

I can't help with question 1 or 3. You can use views to set which fields print in different circumstances. Select edit views and then go to the fields section. each field can select whether it is visible and printable or not.

Hope this helps.

Even when I set the fields NOT to print, the columns still print albeit blank, this is my problem, how do I stop the empty columns from printing? Defeats the whole purpose of have Different Views :(
