I use the PDAIR book style case. The main reason was the WiFi card might be in the way in flip style cases. Overall it's pretty nice if black doesn't bother you and it won't break the bank.

I have two slots for memory sticks. Slots for credit cards, and has a padded center removeable holder with clear large window, plus pocket.

Not as fancy as a Vaja case, but does the job. There are openings on the back for the speaker and a hole for the reset. It also has a spot for a second stylus.

BTW

I realize the proporta case has not come out yet, but it can already be ordered - and maybe some people have seen their other cases.

Thanks for the input!

I like my tan Covertec...and it was cheaper here than through Covertec itself!

Which Avoglio case did you get for your NX70V? According to their website they say that the NR70V fits in their cases but there is no mention of the NX70V. Do they both fit??

I have a tan Covertec and I don't like it much. The outside is OK, but the inside is plastic-lined and (to me) really looks cheap. I had a VAJA case for my N710 and it was really nice, all leather, inside and out. I ordered a case from VAJA to replace the Covertec. When it gets here, I'll vote then.

Ummm... I noticed that you have Brando listed as a case manufacturer. I wasn't aware that they actually made cases, I thought they just sold cases made by others. Additionally, I saw some cases on your list that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the info. I also noticed that you don't have the PDAir case listed. It is sold by Brando, but Brando doesn't make it. I have seen one of these PDAir cases up close, and I think that it is much nicer than the Covertec. It is leather, inside and out. It also handles the WiFi card dilemma presented by many other cases by mounting the NX backwards in the case (compared to other designs). The hotsync socket is nestled in the area of the case that wraps around the NX, instead of being at the open end of the case. The open end has a fairly long strap that will wrap around and hold the case closed, even with the WiFi card installed. The case also comes with a thin divider with a nonscratch surface that sits between the screen (if it is rotated outward) and the inside of the cover. This divider keeps the memory sticks from potentially scratching the screen/screen protector. It's a pretty well thought-out design. You do need to remove the NX from the case to use the cradle, but so do most of the other cases. :)

I just got the Bellagion case! It works great and looks even better....only one complaint a tad bit on the big side...

My mistake, sorry. Maybe the moderator will change the poll to more accurately give options to vote on. Only a moderator can change a poll, I believe.

Thanks for the info about the PDAir case.

I have the PDAir bookstyle, Grinder Gear Basecamp, and the Caterina Sapphire Vaja I-Volution (as shown in avatar). I can't say enough good things about the Vaja. The bad things about it are price, the month wait to get it, and the lack of slots for my two extra mem sticks (but that's what makes it super slim).

I bought a Vaja case for my T665C. It has the snap closure rather than the magnetic closure. Within 4 or 5 months of moderate use, the leather around the snap started loosening from the snap itself. I loved the case but thought it would last longer without falling apart, especially for the price. I ended up buying an NX70V and decided not to go with the Vaja for it.

I still haven't found a case that I really like so, my NX70 "case" is still the protective packing sleeve that shipped with the unit ! :)

cheers,

Do people find it hard to use the keyboard when the NX is in the side opening type cases - like the innopocket, but also like the Bellagio?

They both stated that they had the book-style (side opening) PDAir. The PDAir case I was referring to per the above discussion is the flip-style PDAir case. I haven't seen the book-style up close and personal, but if it's as nice as the flip-style, I can understand why people like it too. :)

Okay, but you did such a nice job of describing the book style, even though it wasn't :D!

Vaja I-volution. I too can't say enough good things about it. It is very thin but well padded and protects incredibly well. Also immaculately well made. here are some pics of my caterina red vaja case with my gray NX (http://www.cliesource.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=5142&thumb=1). Search the forums if you want to see more of what I have said about this case.

After reading about the choices for cases, I just couldn't make up my mind, so I was in Fry's and found a 'universal' case made by Sumdex that perfectly fits my Clie NX70. It it opens like a book, uses the strongest velcro invented by man, and has pockets on the left for credit cards/business cards/mem sticks. It is nicely padded black leather(ette?) but still has a very slim profile and the best part to my liking is the sleek zipper all around so that nothing ever falls out. Also has 2 large black elastic loops for a cool 2-in-1 stylus pen I also bought there (a short length one which fits the case perfectly!) All this for only $14.95... somedays, I just get really lucky.:p
