I've ordered from E-cost 3 times now. I love that place!!! I've gotten my order in 3 days from the time I order it! The prices are really good too! A USB cable at Best Buy was $29.99, the same exact cable was $2.49 at e-cost! They tack on a small handling fee, but that is nothing compared to how much $$ you save!!!

I ordered the 128 mb memory stick from there. No problems! :)

Did I mention I love that place???!!!

the cheapest i have seen was when I was in New York.

I stopped in a CompUSA and picked one up. It was listed at $65
Went to the register and payed for it. And the cashier printed me off rebate slips for $50 and $15.

So, in other words I recieved a 128MB MS for the cost of the tax, which was about $5.

Was it listed with those rebates or did they screw up? I would have gone back in and bought 5 more.

I got all excited to until you read that the $50 one is only with the purchase of a new PDA.

hmm...anyone know if that rebate is good for purchases made from a different retailer? the form says "participating dealers only" but there isn't any listing of who those dealers are. i recently bought the same MS but didn't get any info about the rebate...would be nice if i could get the $15 back...

I bought one today for $46.33 with $15 rebate and free shipping.

Here is the link:

You can also use Amazon promotion code from this (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1661&perpage=15&highlight=amazon%20code&pagenumber=1) thread and get another $5 off. Just ordered one ;)
$46.33 - $15 (rebate) - $5 (promotion) = $26.33 - not bad at all!

I printed the rebate out last week and it specifically says on the first page that the rebate is only good at PC Mall, MacMall, ClubMac, eCOST.com, CCIT, and Wareforce Only.

I don't rememeber if I printed the rebate off of PC Mall or ecost.com.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. I ordered one too. May even try the other $20 rebate and maybe get it down to $6.33 plus two .37 postage stamps.

I paid the full Sony asking price (~ $130) when I purchased my MS.

The cheapest MS price for a 128MB was $114 sold bySoftmagic (a Montreal company) not including shipping; the nice thing is that everyone pays only 7% tax, no GST.

http://www.softmagic.ca/search_detail.asp?dept_id=08-007&sp=memory+stick&sp_flag=0

I have not ordered from them (so I can't comment on service, etc.) as I have relatives in the US who are willing to smuggle-in cheap MS's for me. :D

See this thread (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7645) for $20 rebate posted by Cliemaniac. The $15 rebate is good for 3/1/03-4/30/03 and the $20 rebate is good for 1/1/03-3/31/03. So we are in the overlapping month. I know it's Lexar, but for $11 it is too cheap not to get it. They must be trying to unload the old MS as MS Pros are coming down the pipe.

I wonder if the rebate handlers won't kick it out and not pay either one if two are submitted. The fine print states: Fraudulent submissions of multiple requests could result in prosecution...etc.
Would sending in both rebate requests qualify for 'submission of multiple requests'? I guess we won't know until we try...

DanT
03-18-2003, 06:00 PM
Yea. It does not say that two rebates can be applied for one MS and both rebates go to the same address in Miami, FL. I remembered how picky they were in the past. Oh well, I'll wait for the next deal then. I'm sure a better deal will come along soon. I still have not filled up the 128 MB SanDisk MS that I got from Amazon for $27 in last Christmas any way.

Does the $20 one work with amazon? Are they participating in that $20 deal? ($20 rebate)

Geez...... $45 - 5 - 20 = $20 for a memory stick. Wow. and free shipping / no tax. maybe I'll get two..

If my math is correct, and IF both the $15 and $20 rebates work, and you use the $5 promotion code and free super-saver shipping, the 128MB Lexar memory stick should end up costing $6.33. An amazing deal that I couldn't pass up.

I just went and checked it out on Amazon. I looking at this Memory Stick: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000691IO/qid%3D1047851920/sr%3D2-1/ref%3Dsr_2_1/102-1255433-0506518

Unless this is a different one it is $44.99 after rebate. Am I confused or is the promotion already over?

From the looks of it, Amazon up'd the price from when I ordered it on
3-17. I paid 46.33 prior to any rebates (need to wait for the package to get the UPC for the rebate(s)).

Keep looking I think there are additional bargains around. Look at the different threads.

hmmm, I just checked out "devsdeals.com" ...they state the deal is for a Lexar 128 stick, however on the Dell site it is a Sandisk stick, they don't sell Lexar sticks on the Dell site. Also after the $20 off mail-in rebate and the 10% off from Dell (which ends tommorrow..thursday 30march) it is still $33.95...

I don't know where everyone is finding the $15, $11, and $25 dollar sticks... but if I could find it I'd buy instantly!!
so far Dell does seem to be the best deal, but at $34

Wow - glad I pulled the trigger when I did. I ordered one on 3/16 for $46.33 - $15 rebate. I couldn't get the other $5 to work.

I'm going to try for the other $20 rebate which will make the total $11. Not to bad.

ok...this is my math....I buy the 128 Lexar from Amazon (was $46.33 on 3/17). Awaiting UPC from box to apply the $20 Lexar rebate. THEN, wait a couple weeks and send in the $15 Lexar rebate form. Finally I cross my fingers and hope I get both rebates! 46-20-15= Great stinkin' price (don't have my calculator). Bottom line you'll have to buy the stick at cost and do the rebates.

I ordered mine from Amazon on the 16th, and it has shipped and expected to get to me tomorrow! That's fast for the free shipping!I'm going to try sending in both rebates.

Just got back from vacation and checked this thread. Went to Amazon but the price is now 59.99. D'oh! Is the deal still on? If anyone can post the link AND the item number, I'd appreciate it.

LOOK AT HOW MANY posts it took for you people to figure out the math LOL!

As far as multiple requests, I WOULDN't WORRY.

It says multiple requests of fradualent submissions. The $15 and $20 rebates are different and in no way is one a fraud or illegal copy of the other. We might not receive the $20 but I will send the $20 out maybe a week after I send the $15 out.

Yes, actually both rebates have different rebate reference numbers, so technically they have nothing to do with each other.

Ok I have a silly question regarding both rebates. Why not try the 20 first?

I am going to send the $15 rebate first because this was the one that was first listed on the site and it actually says Amazon.com on it. I'll send the $20 rebate in after.

The $20 rebate has no direct affiliation to Amazon, it says that it is valid at participating delaers. Someone did e-mail amazon and asked if they were a participating dealer and the amazon rep did say they were, but I wouldn't trust that person from amazon as much as I would trust someone from Lexar saying it since Lexar would have to be the one that paid the money out. The $15 rebate specifically says that it is good for amazon so it should be a sure thing.

Didn't know about the $5 promo code... rats!

However, I sent in BOTH the $15 and the $20 rebates on 03/22/03. I sent separate envelopes, because they were separate rebates - $15 was 02-52894, and $20 was 02-52890. I received BOTH rebate checks on 05/17/03. In all, I paid a whole $11 for a 128MB Memory Stick!

Thanks, Amazon and Lexar!!!
