Every once in a while my clie my battery runs out even though I have not turned it on for like 2 days with the lock key enabled. Is there any reason why it discharges so fast? My memory stick does pop one sometimes but I dont think that is the problem can you guys help me out?

hmmm, my dads n760 goes dead occasionally if he doesn't use it, but it is longer than 2 days, it is more like 4-5 days. That is wierd. How long does the battery last if you do use it?

I use my clie 90% of the time to listen to music about 3-4 hours a day so like 2-3 days. When the battery is half way and I leave it off for a day and the next day I have to charge the clie and install the programs all over again. It kinda makes me mad.

Had a similar problem myself but it actually turned out to be a racing game (can't remember which one but I do seem to remember someone saying the demo was on the Clie install disk. Each time it was played it would cause my Clie to discharge over the course of a day or so. I've removed it from my machine and so far no problems with battery life

Maybe you just disconnected the headphones but left Audio Player playing. It wouldn't auto power off because Audio Player was running. Of course, I could be wrong

I realised that the battery discharged faster when I activated the "Hold" key too.

Do other people have this problem maybe someone can do a test on it.

But isn't the point of the hold key just to turn off the display and leave whatever app running ? Surely by activating hold you are going to discharge the battery more quickly than by turning the Clie off ?

when you use the hold button, it just basically shuts the screen off, but everything is still on.. you need to press the power button first to power off the unit and then use the hold button. I used to have that same problem, but once i started powering off before i used the lock button, Ive noticed a substantial gain in battery life between charges. hope this helps
