I have been a long-time subscriber to the ever-famous LockerGnome email newsletters, and just realized that the web-versions clip VERY NICELY into HandStory.

gvtexas started a section on HS clips at Turcic.com's forums, and though I'm not a HS user, I believe he's integrated Alex's 1000sumptin links.

For those interested, I also have a pretty decent HandStory Clip for SlashDot. It's not a direct clip to the slashdot.org site as such, but instead hits one of my sites that runs a CGI script that collects and formats the pages directly from SlashDot. It is a modified version of the cool "AvantSlash" CGI script available from the fourteenminutes.com site. I take no credit for it. All credit goes to the FourteenMinutes site.

I am hosting my modified version at: slash.g04.com (That's "Gee-Zero-Four".)

It will return a page containing about 12 or so of SlashDot's most recent stories with links to the associated posts. All advertising and other peripheral stuff gets stripped out leaving only the articles and links to the associated postings. The message moderation threshold is set to "3" so you should see most of the interesting posts. External links are not kept. The CGI script maintains a cached version for 240 minutes so as not to hammer the server or suck up bandwidth (remember, this isn't meant to be real-time, just a convenient way to carry data with you!) A typical download weighs in at under 200k.
