hi guys, i have question. can the nz90 hotsync without the usb cradle, like can i use the little adapter(that has usb and Dc outlet) that comes with the th55 and plug it in?
You can sync w/ the cradle, w/ a USB cable, via Bluetooth and [possibly] via IR or 802.11b wireless. I use the prior three methods between work and home.
If your USB cable doesn't have a hotsync button, you can go to the hotsync option in the Clie and initiate the sync.
The bluetooth sync can take a few steps to setup. The USB should work just as a USB cradle sync would.

my computer doesnt have bluetooth and i dont want to purchase the wireless lan card so iw as just wondering if the adapter from the th55,(the one that has usb and dc on the same grey thing , the one u used to sync with the pc and charge) works
the docking cradel for the NZ90 is basically a USB cable terminated in the Clie end; the only difference is that some USB cables will supply power from the USB port where the cradle supplys power from an AC adaptor. I don't think the Sony cable has the power option [but I could be wrong] but some of the aftermarket cables offer power and sync from one cable.
If the connector for the TH55 is the same as the NZ90 connector, you should be able to plug it and select 'Hotsync' on the clie. When you hit the hotsync icon in the middle of the screen, it should sync just the same as if you pressed the hotsync button on the cradle.
Hope this helps some. :o)
