The Palmster

Just read a thread on PalmInfoCentre. Gekko has decided to go out and buy another T5 on the basis that his first experiment with this device was flawed due to third party software incompatibility. What's going on here? He almost had me convinced to upgrade my M515 with a T3 instead of the T5. Then I read Lance's thread and started re-thinking. I'm still thinking but curious about Gekko's decision to go out and buy yet another T5?
My second subject, What's with CDN has to do with what I believe to be a rip-off by Canadian retailers. The Canadian dollars is now worth $0.80US, yet Palm handhelds are still selling in Canada as if the dollar is only worth $0.60US. The only honest retailer appears to be www.softmagic.ca which is selling the T5 at the correct exchange rate. Future Shop, Best Buy and Staples are all selling the T5 at $100.00 more than the current exchange rate. Worse...even the PalmOne Store (Canada) is refusing to adjust their prices to the current exchange rates.
Went to Future Shop yesterday to see whether they would honour their "Lowest Price Guarantee" and was told "NO".
I hate spending this kind of money on-line but for $100.00, I just might.
BTW, the T3 and the TE is also selling at a significantly lower price at www.softmagic.ca.
Has anyone dealt with this web retailer? Any problems?
