Audio Player Skins/Sonic Stage issues

Just wondering, I had the NR and there were some nice audio skins on it (Equaliser bar moving etc).

I now upgraded to the NZ 90 and there are NO skins for the Audio Player??! Anyone missing them or found them somewhere?

More importantly, the manual says I should upgrade the PC to the Sonic 1.5 version. (from Sonic 1.1)

Will the upgrade delete all the Sonic audio files on the PC?

Also, will the Sonic 1.5 work with the MS walkman?

I would really appreaciate if someone who did the upgrade from Sonic 1 to Sonic 1.5 could let me know.

No audio skins, reason is the buttons and stuff are shared amongst several apps which would make it difficult to do.

Upgrading Sonic Stage shouldn't delete your audio files.

I believe your Walkman should be okay too.

The whole layout, look, and feel is dramaticaly different.

Thanks for your reply. A last question, The NZ 90 does not show the artist name/song title when playing a MG Stick Atrac file. Is that so because I have not the latest Sonic 1.5 version or is that a NZ 90 flaw??

There is a 'patch' for those using the MagicGate MS.

You may want to go to Sony's Support and download the patch.

This is a "bug" in the NZ90. I have Sonic Stage 1.5 and have used it to transfer ATRAC's to magic gate for my NX60 and my son's SJ33. Both show the artist's names and song titles. When I put that same magic gate into my NZ90, it says "unknown" or "no title" I tried putting that same magic gate into 2 other NZ90's (at Circuit City) and it did the same - didn't recognize song or artist. Placing that same magic gate into the SJ33 display at Circuit City, it read the info just fine. I've called SOny twice about this problem, sent them 2 e-mails and written about it several times here, with no resolution. Most people don't use ATRAC's so it really doesn't bother them, I guess.

The patch on the Sony site will not help with this problem. It will fix any error messages you may be getting in Sonic Stage when you try to check songs out or in.

Thanks to all of you for your input about this matter.

I find this very disappointing as I am a user of Sony's ATRAC format and it is very annoying not having the song titles/artist names and the lack of response from Sony.

This unit is so expensive and one would suspect that the Sony software works.
