I'm wondering if Clie NR70V is able to add (802.11a) wifi because bluetooth ranage is too short.

Check out the rumour on the front page of this site (from pdafrance.com) as regards a WiFi memory stick. That would be the only possibility I can think of... and I'm truly hoping it comes true.

The NR70v doesn't do bluetooth anyway so it doesn't matter about the range...

I doubt it will ever to 802.11a, I'm pretty sure it's an even bigger power drain than 802.11b and it is not nearly as prevalent. Keep an eye out for 802.11b memory stick, that's our only hope.

There is a CF "sled" for the NR70, which was reviewed at www.the-gadgeteer.com before the NX70 was released with CF WiFi capability.

In theory, one should be able to put the Sony CF WiFi card into the Sony NR70 CF Sled... but I don't if anyone has tried this...

People have tried this, but it needs japanese drivers which have NOT been translated into english.
