Bought the screen protector, Sony version, and the machine went hywire, wouldn't flip and no response, took it off and was well.
Any one know why?

It's putting pressure on the screen someplace, maybe at the edge if you somehow had it wedged between the frame. Additionally check to see if the soft protectors have been removed from the protector itself. Some are colored and some are clear, I even have seen both on the same protector, blue on one side, clear on the other.

any pressure on the edges of the screen will cause this. you really have to be carefull putting the screen protectors on.

Just suppose I'm ham fisted...
Thanks but getting the bubbles out without pressure going to be sportive. :-)

I notice the bubbles go away in a couple days on their own. as long as they are not on the edge.

Hehe.. I got my Sony Screen protector on too.. and like "SwissUser", guess I'm also another gammon-fist. First attempt got me plenty of bubbles, all the while I was trying to get it over with asap before air-borne dust stuck to the back film, second attempt with a credit card did the job, albeit a somewhat blotchy 1 mm patch at one edge-side. Sigh, I'll leave with it.
Anyways, anyone knows of any shop in Singapore that'll do the screen protector install for you? The guys in Sim Lim are kinda stuck up. :P

Try the Sony stocked store in Sim Lim Square.... Third Floor just next to the central glass lifts. They did mine for me and got it all right the first time round.
Otherwise try Doml on the 5th floor of Funan Center. Don't really like these guys though. They got lots of nice cases to try.... but the tried to sell me some OEM kit that was really badly manufactured. Their sync cable almost snapped off in my clie and they got a really snotty attitude.

If you get a G2 screen protector, there is no way to have bubbles. It is a piece of tough plastic that slides under the edges to hold it in place. Check out http://www.PDAScreenProtectors.com for details. It is the only screen protector that I found that is clear and has no bubbles. I also received some great support from the staff.
Enjoy.

But you can't use it on the NX. any pressure at the edges of the screen will cause it to freak out.
I had never experienced any of those issues with my Brando. I guess Brando rules!!!!!!

It was my understanding that the Innopocket protector is pretty much the same as the Brando??? I just bought the Innopocket and put it on my NX. Guess I should have paid more attn. to these posts. The unit powers on but I get no response with the stylus. Is my only remedy removing the screen protector or should I try to place it down more carefully? It seems almost impossible to not get it near the edges of the screen.
All advice is welcome. Thanks!

yes that sounds like the problem. I trimmed just a little off of one side and one end off the brando and it sure helps getting it on.

Thanks Steve! I took the screen protector off and trimmed a very small amount off the end and side and it seems to be working okay now. You da man! :D

Anyone tried the Boxwave ClearTouch? (http://www.boxwave.com/products/cleartouch/index.cfm) How does it compare to the likes of Brando or Fellowes?
