VZ in English

Im sorry to say that the VZ will not come with English text support. However, if you would like to use the VZ in English, you may find a "hack" or OS modification on the internet(I recomend searching with google). I suggest searching for the English support FIRST, instead of buying it first, mainly because you may not find ne English support at all.

I will be quite surprised if Dynamism tech team succeeds in this...
Partial translation is possible if you pick some applications from another Clie, so it's a cheat in fact, or take the software and modify it (not really legal).

But a ROM modification...
1°) I don't think tweaking a SONY ROM would be wise,
2°) I don't think selling it would be a very good idea for dynamism's sake...

Now, quite every applications can be in English:
Netfront, PicselViewer, preferences (see CliePet teaser).
The only "not translate" thing would be:
Media Launcher, but then it's pretty close to movie / audio players pads, and some menus...

If you have some experience in Palm OS 5, you won't be surprised and you japanese language won't block you anyway...

Cliepet seems to be able to program anything that can interface with a Clie. I doubt he can give you instructions on how to make some things in English, but he may be able to create a program to do this. All of his import handhelds have probably been translated to English.

Edit for effect: I just noticed a program for aibo/ppc, so cliepet aint limited to palm.

actually, cliepet is just one of many spawns of the original AiboPet. There's CliePet, ICybiePet, RoboSapienPet, PanelPet, PPCPet, and I've even heard that (occasionally, and sometimes on Halloween), there's even a TeasePet!

I have most of them translated (ok, I didn't translate them, but I stole them from the English UX ;-)
