I just got my SENA Case for my T3! AWESOME PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. High Quality Leather, Stitching, Construction.
2. Super SUPER SLIM with EXACTING fit.
3. You can sync easily IN CRADLE IN THE CASE with slider open or closed!!! (BIG BIG BIG DEAL FOR ME!) The leather is thin enough where the T3 slides in cradle very easily!
4. No Annoying Extending Straps or Protrusions (Especially if you choose "No belt clip option" - there is no protruding NASTY NUB on the back as with other more "one-for-all" products)
5. Nice EASY flip cover to access data with no annoying clip strap.
6. Easy access to all buttons.
7. GREAT protection.
8. 2 SD pockets and 1 big pocket if needed.
9. Very Professional Looking with Assortment of colors (including all BLACK)
10. Reasonable Cost = $39 + $5 shipping. I got it in 2 days cross country!!!
If you want the BEST leather case for your PDA, check out www.senacases.com!!!!

The SENA cases have all been reviewed very well. For those wondering about the T5 case from SENA, their support e-mailed me to advise that they are working on a new case for the T5 which they hope to release soon.

I just ordered a Sena about half and hour ago. I can't wait for it to come! Glad to hear you got it in only 2 days, Gekko. That means I'll probably have mine this weekend!

VanHolton - when you put the case on your T3, slip it on nice and easy, nice and slow - ease it in - do not rush it - or you'll rip the threads - it's a very tight fit. But once it's on, it's like a second skin! Slim and sweet!!!
The Sena case does look beautiful, but the sides of the T3 are exposed, unlike with many of the metal cases.
Has this presented any problems for those of you with a Sena or similar case?
This is worth posting again: T3 Case Reviews (http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/tips/Palm_T3_cases.htm) by Tanker Bob at PDA Buyer's Guide.
The Sena case is reviewed, as well as the PDAir Hardcase, which I am currently using.

no problems. I could not have designed a better case myself.

I had the Sena case for the T1 for just over a year and it was absolutley a perfect case!!! I never had a problem with the sides being exposed. The edge of the case is slightly larger than the PDA which provides the exact right protection.
As soon as I p/u my T3 I orded Sena's T3 case. I was thrilled to learn that the Palm1 WiFi card fits perfectly in the SD slot. I agree with Gekko that I could not have designed a better case for my needs.
Thanks Gekko and minimalposter,
I went ahead and ordered a blue/black Sena case. I have been totally satisfied with the PDAir metal case, but it will be nice to have a good quality leather case as well.

I have a slipper case from ebcases and am happy with it. The sides and charging area are exposed and the flip open front is latched down magnetically. Most important for me is the belt clip which works very well. I only wear my PDA on the belt, so this might not be the right case for someone who doesn't.

I just looked at the sena picture. My ebcase is the same type of thing and looks similiar. I really like mine. It is worth it to have a form fitting case with SD pockets.

Yes, now that I look at my PDA it did cause one problem. There is a dent in my T3 in the exposed area which I believe came from running into something while this was clipped to my belt.
On other other hand the T3 is free to swing on the belt clip, which reduces the impact. All in all I'll take my chances rather than wear a hard case all the time. The T3 travels right next to my body and I'm usually not stupid enough to run into objects. I've worn a cell phone on the other side for longer and have never broken it.

Now, where did I hear that question before? ;)

Yes, I was attempting to quote in my reply but accidentially posted it, and you saw it before I could edit it. It is fixed now.

Thanks for the heads up on these cases.
This is EXACTLY the style of case I was looking for for my T|C with EVERYTHING just as I wanted it (coverage, snap closure, etc).
Mine is apparently in the mail on its way to me. :)

Ijust got my Sena yesterday, and it's really great. I think I actually loosened my slider trying to work the T3 into the case, though. I do like the case!
I got my Sena case today, it came very fast.
I found it difficult to get the T3 into it, I was worried that I would either rip the stitching (I did a very little) or damage the T3 (fortunately did not).
The quality seems good, the flip cover is a little more raised when closed than I expected. I will give this case a chance; I really had expected to "love" it more than I currently do.

It's the slimmest, highest quality, highest value case out there. There is no better.

Whee!
My case came today!!!
My T|C looks GREAT in it I might add :)
Though I do admit it's going to take some getting used to using the 5-way pad (or whatever it is) under the plastic.
Love it. :)

So far:
Pros:
Easier to open the slider than with the hard-case
Easier to open and start using the T3
Better grip-ability, less "slippery" than metal case
HotSync on cradle and reset in the case
Attractive appearance, good quality leather
Good fit, not too bulky
Cons
Less protection than the PDAir metal case
Difficult to put the T3 in the case, at least the first time

>"Cons

1.Of course - it's leather not metal.
2. You can't have slim without a tight fit. And that's the beauty - since you can do everything with the T3 in-case - there's never a reason to take it out!

1. Specifically, the sides are exposed in the Sena, but virtually 100% covered with the PDAir metal case.
2. You're correct.

Can't seem to find a distributer for Sena cases in Australia.
Does anyone have any experiences/thoughts regarding the Proporta cases or the Covertec cases?

I have both a Sena case and a Brando case. The Sena case was a much tighter fit when new, which would have been fine, except I could not use the PTG sled with the case. The sleds connector is a bit closer so it doesn't have room for the case like the cradle does. Taking the Palm out of the case caused the stitching to break where the Palm slides into the case. I managed to fix this myself by stitching it with stronger thread just along this one stitching. None of the other stitches have come loose.
The Brando case does not have as tight a fit as the Sena case but also does not allow syncing in the case with anything other than a sync cable (No cradles). Since I'm resigned to removing the T3 from the case to use the PTG, it is much easier to do this with the Brando case. The Brando does have a strap closure, but this can be viewed as a disadvantage or advantage depending on your tastes. The Sena case is a bit easier to open, but the Brando's strap can be fastened around the back making a loop to hold the Palm more securely. This works really well for me while reading e-books. The strap also protects the UC while the case is closed.
Every once in awhile I switch back to the Sena, but always end up going back to the Brando because of the convenience of fastening the strap around the back to hold the T3 easier and more safely.

Based on this thread (who wudda thunk I would take Gekko's advice?) I bought a Sena. I do like it a lot. I've even been able to connect the PTG sled for charging, although the machine is not usable in this condition because the PTG clips can't engage.
The only bad thing is that the threads along the sides -- where the T3 pouch meets the back -- ripped when I picked up the machine. They ripped down to the point on the back where the "thin" part meets the "thick" part of the back. I don't know if the stitches will continue to unravel now.

How in the F did you manage to do that??? That stitching is SOLID. Do you not have opposable thumbs?

Thanks for the experiences on the Sena cases guys. It does look likea pretty flash case and I would probably buy one if I could find one in Australia. My problem with it and other cases like the P1 Vaja case is that the SD storage slots are in the wrong place for an SD WiFi card to sit with a T3 being opened and closed. ANyone know of a similar case that would fit this need?
Thanks,
L :)

LexLuther,
Now I could be mis-reading your post, but the senacase works great with the WiFi card. I had a senacase with my T1 and loved it, but was hesitant to buy one with my T3 b/c of the WiFi card. The following post relieved most of my fears:
http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/showthread.php?threadid=68801
I have had the WiFi card for about three or four weeks and it has fit perfectly in the senacase. Now if you are looking for a case that allows you to leave the card IN THE T3 I don't know of anything available. Also I doubt that the WiFi card would be very well protected staying in the T3 all of the time since it sticks out a good 1/2 inch from the unit.
I know there are other cases out there (I have owned a few of them). If you find another good one let us know!

Thanks Min, you understood me perfectly! I will try to check out the Sena cases. i agree that keeping the Wifi card in would be asking for trouble. :) TManns pictures are a great view of how it fits. Sena could have used him for their photoshoot.

BTW totally agree with your footquote :)
