This is a good deal IF (and that's a BIG IF) Lexar honors your rebate application......

I've bought dozens of items with rebates and gotten rebates back for all of them, with no problems at all......until Lexar. Bought a USB Jumpdrive, sent in all the appropriate forms, including UPC code. They came back about 4 weeks later telling me it was denied due to lack of UPC code. Tried reasoning with them to no avail, even copped an attitude accusing me of lying to them......

End result: They kept my $20, lost me as a customer for life, and I make sure that everyone I talk to about them knows about their shoddy business practices. It's a shame too, for they are one of the premier memory product makers with quality products.......

Did you keep a copy of everything you sent to them as proof that you did send it?

I tape or gluestick everything to a sheet of paper, including the UPC, receipt, and rebate coupon, then I make a copy of it. If someone comes back and says I didn't send them something, I have proof that it was sent. Also, by attaching items together, there's less chance of them opening an envelope and having the UPC either fall out un-noticed, or accidentally left in the envelope.

I keep track of all my rebates in a SmartList database I wrote, including expected arrival date of rebate check, and phone numbers/websites to check status.

In 3 years, and 14 rebates later, I haven't had a problem yet. :-)
