Compatability of SMC access point?

I am using SMC wireless Access point around my office.
SMC 2655W to be exact.
I installed the Wirelss program.
Inserted the Land card to Sony and no connection.

VERY new to this...can anyone help?

It's hard to say what the problem is without knowing how the LAN is configured.

Does your MAC address have to be added to the LAN? Is it running short or long preamble? Is it using LEAP and some others that are not compatible with the Sony? What kind of security, did they give you a WEP key? Not all LANs are created equal and the Sony driver is rather primative, not the card.

You have to consult with your IT person.
