I have heard that there is a bluetooth module for TH55 in Japan. Does anybody know will it be available in other regions? Also, how much is it?

Do you mean the (now defunct) BlueTooth MemoryStick?

I haven't heard or read anything about it.

If one WAS available, I bet it would be a popular item.

Care to offer any more info?

There was the bluetooth memory stick (which doesn't have drivers supported by the TH55, I think) and then there was the PEGA-BT700 discussed in this thread:

I have no idea why it was never available outside of Japan (even from places like Dynamism or Expansys). However, the connector on it looks wider than the on on the TH55.

OKAY so i've dug through that info HERE's the lowdown:

--]Bluetooth(BT), unless you already have a EuropeTH55, WILL NOT be available for you're TH55, unless sony decides to change their mind on the issue, which i don't see happening. SORRY, I know, I'm pissed too, ever since i got this thing i've been hoping that I could get BT for it SOMEHOW! But i've given up all hope, and maybe some more of you will too now. I just can't sit on the edge of my seat anymore waiting for it. Deal with adhoc WIFI, and IR. Sorry guys.[--

---> The PEGA (hotsync/charge connector) BT Adapter does not support the TH55, due to lack of drivers, nor does the BT memory stick(aka Infostick).

The only reason I found for the lack of BT support, is to set apart the TH55 from the BT enabled ones, increasing sales of their more expensive units i guess. I know the feeling inside of you after hearing that. Trust me. The one thing that would have made this device ULTIMATE is just out of reach.

Just trying to lay it down straight for ya'll. This is VEC7OR signing off.

Ar... I've got what the info what I want from the following link:
http://www.sony.jp/products/Consumer/PEG/Acc/PEGA-BT700
It seems that has been released a long time ago, since I found it is being used with an N700C

So the BT700 won't work with the TH55 since it uses the N series connector.
