I have drooled over the NZ-90 at Comp USA and checked out the offerings on E-Bay. Really like my NR-70. But I have 3 big questions befgore I drop $700+ for a new PDA. #1 Does the wireless internet access work w/my exisiting provider or must I pay another provider? (If there's a webpage w/this answer please send URL) #2 I'm a working slob and need to know if the Nz-90 will comfy fit in the breast pocket of my suit coat? #3 Can you make the virtual graffiti go away and write directly ointo the screen?

Sure, you'll be able to integrate the NZ into your current internet setup without paying another provider.
I think if you put the NZ in your breast pocket you are going to look a bit squint. It'll probably fit; how big are your pockets? Comfy; that's another matter.
You can make virtual graffiti disappear to give you more visible screen space, but you can't write without it. You would need graffiti2 or some other application to allow you to do that. With regards availability of these apps... I'll leave that to someone else.

Unless your ISP is AOL, you should be fine in using the WiFi capabilities.
As for the Graffiti application I think, but I'm not sure, there might be a program that will allow this. Can't recall any names, sorry.

1) As long as you have a normal ISP, ya. If you're usign a BT phone, you dialup to your ISP with your phone, and your Clie will talk with your phone over BT. Or you can use your cell phone carrier as an ISP too thogh this costs a lot more. You can also buy the optional wireless WiFi card if you have wifi in your office or at home. Then your NZ90 will 'talk' on your home network.
2) Im' sure it would fit, it would be noticable though i'm sure.
3) The graffiti area you can toggle. If you turn it off, you can use the keyboard. I don't believe it supports wiriting ot the screen. However ther eare some programs out there that give palms this ability. If they work on the NZ, then that's a solution. I'm just not sure if they support the NZ yet or not.

2) I wear a suit every sunday, not every day, so take this for what it is worth. The NZ in my suit pocket really is not noticable for me unless I lean back with it buttoned up. Maybe this is just my suit, but the way the inside breast pocket is set up, the NZ is invisable. I think that the NZ is not that much of an actual difference that if you can hide other PDAs in your suit, this one will not show either.
3) I know that you were probibly thinking of an invisible graffiti area for this one, but just so you know there is a memo app that you can write on the whole screen like a pad of paper.

If you are concerned about it showing up in the inside breast pocket of your suit... you could always tape it to your boxers.... *Laffing*

1. Wireless internet will work with your provider. I think you may be missunderstanding this though, this is wifi - like 150 feet or less, it is not like through cellular providers that cover a wide area. If you have the wireless access point at home or work, you are good to go.
I have a wifi access point and one at work. I can get on both with the additional wifi card. there are other threads in this forum on this (i wrote one for using the Apple Airport). Its not hard but it takes a little fooling around to get the profile correct.
2. Fine in suit pocket. No problem.
3. You can make the grafitti area go away - there is a little arrow you click and it goes away. To write on the screen then you should purchase JOT from CIC. http://www.cic.com, then you will be able to write anywhere you want (plus it is better than graffiti.). I have used JOT for years - all the way back to my Palm IIIx - and highly recommend it.
With Jot not only can you write anywhere, you also have better recognition and more natural character strokes to choose from. Its a very, very nice piece of s/w from a company with excellent customer service. You can download a demo.

Instead of Jot, u can get graffiti anywhere as it is free and works really well. You can then write graffiti without the VG area open.

I went from an NR70 to the NZ90 and haven't looked back. I really love this NZ90. It is worth the extra $$$$$.

I keep my NZ-90 in my back pocket 75% of the time. No problems. As far as your suit breast pocket, well you almost need to try it yourself, as everyones suits are different.

Graffiti Anywhere requires a Hack Manager, have you run it on an OS 5 device?

New question: how do you get internet access on the NZ-90? is it thru a "wi-fi" card and does that mean you need to have a computer somewhere's close by? This is my last question and I'll shut up. But thanks for all the posts and all the other threads.

Jerry, You don't need a computer close by, but you will need a Wireless Access Point. Most access points reach 300' in radius or more.
One last point, you need to buy the WiFi card for the NZ-90, it doesn't come with it. I use my WiFi at work and home, and it works great.

I guess if I have a home/ofc computer w/DSL, I can buy a gizmo to add a wireless access point to my exisiting computer. And from the threads I've read, and last nite's Fresh Gear show (luv that Sumi Das!) my NZ-90 equipped w/a WiFi card can hunt and find an existing Wireless Access pOint, like a Starbucks comp cafe, or a neighbor's Wireless Access point. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the info.
