I just got a TH55, which I auctioned on Ebay Germany. My previous PDA was a Clié T625C, that I needed to replace because after 2 years of heavy use the battery duration had become too low.

I need a flipcase with belt clip for my PDA, because I want to have it handy all the time. For the T625C, I had a case from EB Cases, which was very slim but protective and durable (2 years old and almost no signs of wear). It is one of the rare cases to be usable with a cradle (the T625 cradle works fine with the TH55)

Unfortunately there is no such thing for the TH55. The Brando and other flipcases are much too bulky for my taste.

I tried the TH55 in the old case and it fit perfectly. The only problem was that the holes for the buttons didn't match. The only usable hole was for the Camera and Capture buttons.

So I cut a hole in the case to give access to the jog dial and the back button. The application buttons are covered by the case, but because it is so thin they can be pushed through the case.

With TheGoGo, I remapped the Capture button to work as a power switch (which I would have done anyway).

Result: The case doesn't look very classy with it's cut hole, but it is more practical than any other TH55 flipcase I've seen on the market. The only feature that requires the PDA to be taken out of the case is the camera. The power switch and Voice recorder button are covered but I wouldn't have used them anyway.

I did a similar thing with the Sena case I had for my T615.... I wish EB Cases or Sena made one with a magnetic closure rather than the snap closure...

Hi,

This EB Case actually has magnetic closure. This should really be standard with flip cases, as it is much more easy to use and more durable.

I agree! Why don't the case manufacturers see this?
Enjoy your case mod... and your TH55.....
