Hello, I have successfully converted my T3 to being sliderless! It cost less than one cent.
I just extended the T3 then put a piece of scotch tape over the exposed inner slider on one side. That's all it took. It is very solid & stable in sliderless mode. In order to have fault tolerance and redundancy though I put a piece of tape on the other side as well. I removed the beta test tape and verified that it didn't leave any residue that might jam the slider.
But then the T3 wouldn't fit in its case and I realized I wanted more. What I really want is to be able to lock the T3 into extended position, but also be able to close it.
So now our engineering team is working on version 2.0. Putting a binder clip on one side would be a way to do it, but I don't want to put too much pressure on something which could possibly be fragile. It might be better to have a band all the way around the back of the Palm, hooking onto the metal tops of the inner slider.
