Why is this being posted now? The information about this has been talked about since this morning, posted by Sharkboy himself. I mean no offense towards Joel, but I see no reason for this to be posted as news. Unless, of course, the current news was getting old, in which case no-one really minds the change.

Exactly. :) I've been watching the development of SharkSwipe for a while now. I've seen the great suggestions being implemented and at this point I believe it's time to give SharkSwipe front page (and main RSS feed) attention.

Thanks joel. Admittedly (sp?) i've allowed my fair share of bugs, but i hope i've gotten updates out in a timely manner and yes... i'm always looking to add new features.
i'm working very hard on DA launching, but believe me it's very difficult as i've never actually used them before myself and there's NO documentation for launching them. CliePet (if you can hear this) was a fantastic help in telling me about DAs and how they work. As i mentioned to MrNako previously, they truly are an amazing achievement.

Off topic? Since SharkSwipe is done, will you continue work on SharkButton? :D

Well... i wouldn't call SharkSwipe "done" lol... but at this point yes SharkSwipe is probably beyond the point of major bugs and is probably just looking at features.
SharkBtn development has been continuing and will be in the future. The new interface and UI are nearly done.

Does SharkSwipe require the VG area to be open for the swipes to work?

hherbzilla-
nope, that's the beauty of it. You can launch apps any time, anywhere because the status bar is ALWAYS visible. regards, shark
It works with VG up / down.
