Ok, been running my UX for about 6 mos now, and thought I had the general idea going on how to move/delete programs. Well, time came to finally try to delete some programs that have been replaced by new programs, or better versions. In the process, I lost EVERY APPT in my datebook. Its my own stupidity for assuming Datebk3 and Datebk5 used seperate databases. Since Backupman auto runs daily at 3am, and I hold only 2 days (both of which I was sick), I have lost it all.

Oh well, back to the original delema. Using Uninstall Manager to remove Clie Mail and Datebk3 so I can resume building my datebook without fear of loosing the info? I get errors in all programs stating can't delete ROM based programs. I feel this is so elementary, but I'm so stumped.

use filez or mcfile. change its properties/details. uncheck protected (or hidden. i think  :p ). works for me whenever i try to remove unwanted apps that gives an error. you'll probably receive an error note asking for softreset too. and btw, word of caution, don't delete apps you dont know or recognize. or face serious consequences

I ran filez...noticed that clie mail was protected, but datebook wasn't. I did soft reset, but no luck. See lots of lurkers on this thread...any other suggestions? My McFile expired, and not at home to download the full version.

If you lose zlauncher, you can use its "uninstaller" to delete the program without deleting the databases.
