Which one is your internet browser ?
I use netfront 3.1 all the time, but i would really want to try web pro newest version on my th55, because th55 netfront does crash too much, however webPro has terrible "render" technology and it does leave much extra data when you will remove it, so i don't know what to do....

Again, I don't mean to be a jerk here, but wouldn't this poll/thread be more appropriate in the APPLICATIONS or WIRELESS forums?
That way more people other than the ones browsing the TH-Series forum will be able to answer and the poll will reflect better results.

I have a NX70v but I've always used WebPro. Why? Simple: I only knew the required 6Mb of free RAM for Netfront when I had everything installed, so I tried WebPro (just 1.8Mb the latest version). I use Powerun so every file goes to MS after use. I never had a complain. It opens every site, fast render with proxy. With proxy it loads just the minimum I need to navigate. Reads java, every sort of buttons... hardly freezes. Why change? I can do everything Netfront does... for less space.
Nevertheless if I knew about the 6mb issue I'd have Netfront know, I guess.

Hmmm, I've never had any problems with NF3.1 crashing. Do you regularly clean out the cache? There are several threads on deleting NF files to avoid problems with it. You might try doing a search on the topic, as I'm certain it's come up several times.

Or anyone with an N-series, UX50 or TJ-37. What about users with the wireless MS card? Sounds like this WOULD be better in the wireless forum simply because you'd have access to a wider base of users. Not only that, you would get answers from people with Palms who can comment on WebPro. By posting in a TH-55 forum, you automatically bias your answer toward NetFront. If you want a true sense, post in a forum with no bias. OTOH, not a problem to post here. You're just tainting your poll before you even begin (as the results show). :)

WebPro supports Java??? I might consider using that instead.

I use NF 3.1 on my TH-55 and WebPro 3.5 on my T|C. I like them both but I prefer WebPro.
BTW: Both are much superior to PIE, which is use on my 2210.

but how do you get wepro on your clie? I looked around briefly after hearing good things about it but as I understand it wepro 3.5 is only bundled on palmOne handhelds. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Eek! Web Pro doesn't support full screen on the TH55 and you only have two text sizes on offer - huge and even bigger!
It may work fine on other devices, but it comes nowhere near NetFront on a TH55.

hehe...never had a TH55, but I'll say something :p.
I've used WebPro 3 on my T|T3 and Blazer 4 on the T|T5, and Blazer 4 is MUCH BETTER than WebPro. And hey, Blazer 4 is based on Netfront, so...:p

Good Morning-
Tried WebProV last night...horrible by comparison to Netfront on my TH55. Yet another reason to mourn the passing of Sony in the Palm OS device arena. :(
For all of you T5 owners out there, I hope Blazer4 looks and acts exactly like Netfront does on my CLIE. I would sure like to get a gopy Blazer4 for my recently purchased (and oft forgotten) T3. Any way that that is "legally" possible?

So when you say that webprov is 'much worse' than netfront on your th55 what do you mean exactly? I was about to install it on my ux50 to compare to nf 3.1. Issues with NF i'd like to see fixed are the 'page too big' and better compatibility with online travel sites, etc. I do like the offline browsing chracteristics of NF esp since in Canada WiFi hotspots are harder to come by when I am travellling and even cell phone internet cuts out between major population centeres. Ultimately I'll see for myself but I would be interested to know some specifics on why you like NF better.
thanks

So when you say that webprov is 'much worse' than netfront on your th55 what do you mean exactly? The text options come in two sizes: screen filling enormous and screen filling ginormous.
And then the browser doesn't support full screen, so big web pages become much harder to view and to navigate these elongated pages you'd end up getting friction burns off your TH55 scroll wheel.

Good Afternoon-
Ditto urban75's comments. Additionally, the text justifications seem to be out of whack. There is NO way to change screen resolution as there is in NF.
It does seem to be a bit quicker to load pages, unfortunately, it loads them "incorrectly" due to the font issues.

Have fun, but I think there is a restriction in the programming to keep it on Sony devices.

So WebPro is a no go for TH55?

I've a NX70v and use WebPro3.5. No problems at all. Fonts are ok, 480x320 res. Never crashed. Use version 3.5, it's much better than 3.01 (but pay attention to the v2 patch! - proxy matters)

How does one know if it's v2 patched or not? Some ppl are saying that Web Pro doesn't display properly, something abt it only offering two views and they're both too huge?! I'm

Well fssia,
v2 patch adds the proxy feature but it disppears as soon as you close the application, meaning that you have to go to preferences again next time and activate proxy. v3 patch corrects this and keeps the setting on. About the viewing issue, I don't know about Netfront users, but the fonts displayed in my NX70v are perfectly ok to read and you can even zoom what you want (icon on top right corner). If you have the landscape utility you can also navigate in landscape mode.

I think I will give Web Pro a try, or else I will never really know what most of you are referring to. So which version of Web Pro is the most current one now?
