Hey guys,
Well, I'm on the hunt for a screen protector. From what I've noticed, the Martin Fields one seems to be the best option. Now, the cheapest I found was $12.99 for a single pack. Anyone know where I can get a better price for them?
Also, I'm thinking of just sticking witht he case that the EB40 comes with. It does the job of preventing the unit from being scratched. I don't plan on wearing the unit on my pant's pockets while with the Eb40...too bulky. I do love how the unit is easier to type with the EB40 on. My hands were too big for the naked unit.
Finally, where do I go for good free apps for the UX50?
Thanks a lot for the help...

I stuck with the EB40 case too, although its too late. My device screen back has scratches but the device still works and I'm the only one in my area with it so I'm cool.

Forget this screen protectors. Before you apply it it will pass at least week :) Buy 10, so you have more probability that this 8-9th will apply correctly... I gave up mate.
From cases, I have also studied some of them, chose bellagio and it is really good and nice: http://www.bellagiodesigns.com/showcategory3.php/36&language=

Don't forget http://www.palmopensource.com/
also you can search a site like Handango for the word "freeware"; just be aware not all freeware is 'free'.

Martin Fields is a good choice, Brando Workshop is great as well. The very day I bought my M505 I bought 2 Brando Workshop screen protectors as well (if your buying from a shop you can ask them to put the screen protector on for you, that's what they did for me on two occassions). That was 3years ago and my M505 still has that very same screen protector and still with no scratches. Martin Fields are clearer though (but then I haven't seen the new ones from Brando, my friend claims its even clearer than Martin Fields).
Me I have 2 cases for my UX50, the one from sony (yeah the bulky one that makes your UX twice as thick) and the metal case from Brando Workshop, which I love by the way.
As for free apps, I would go with winexprt. freewarepalm is the authority for that in my opinion

I bought 2 protectors from Brando, this new one... And can't apply it... Some people here recommends to do this using credit card, I suppose they never had UX-50 or never applied protectors by theirselves, because Credit Card is too wide to put in on the UX screen.

stiwi, have you tried using a call card? the thin ones that bends. What i did for my friend's UX is cut the sides of a call card to the same size as the UX screen using a cutter. then i used a nail file on the edges to make sure there are no sharp edges that would scratch the screen

No I didn't I don't have anything with size which could fill UX screen. I used thin rubber but no effects, after some hours it my work looked better however on every edge protector was taking off by itself, maybe it is broken after few washes.... I will try with new one.
