Problems with Sound/MS

Well I've had my UX50 for around a week now and I just have a few questions that I can't seem to figure out.

1. I bought a 512 sandisk memory stick, but it only holds 470 megs of content, is that normal?

2. I bought pockettunes (normal, not the deluxe) and put it on the ux50, but now the sound control on that controls everything. You know when you change the sound level for the music on pockettunes, this changes everything (the sound level for games, alarms), and the normal sound control (the one found on the main screen on the far light, or far left with the icon of a mic) other than the mute function is completely rendered uselss. Is their any fix or workaround for this?

for # 1, it is normal for the actual space to be less than the KB number for reasons of how bytes are counted or formatted or something like that (there was a post on this somewhere else in cliesource) so feel reassured. that's normal

Thanks nausicaa that one I was just curious about, number two is the one that is really getting in the way. I am thinking about removing pockettunes now and going with aeroplayer

I just tried Aeroplayer and the same problem... Any ideas?
