Bought one tonight on eBay:

Good deal, bad deal, any comments?
Not looking to get flamed, just wondering if any of you would have done likewise.
TIA for your responses.

Not bad price at all. Wish the seller had a higher rating though.
Good Luck with it and enjoy!

Good Luck with it and enjoy! HUH? Two neutrals and one negative? With 60-something positives? That's not bad at all. My rating is ~85 positives, one neutral and one negative. My neutral came from me stating that a screen protector sold by another member was of poor quality (which it was), and my negative came from a complaint I lodged against another eBayer for defrauding me. In both cases, the two feedback ratings were the result of retalitory feedback by unscroupulous sellers. I wouldn't be at all worried by the seller's rating in this case.
And the price looks great! I'm sure you'll be happy, Silverback! :)

I hope it works out well for you, enjoy! You must be an old guy! (regarding eBay) Hehe... I'm a geezer (51) and I really like eBay! I've only run across a couple of bad actors there, most folks are honest. Percentage-wise, I've probably had more bad experiences with my local retail community. But, to each his own! As far as eBay (the company) goes, I do agree with you and don't trust them either. They only seem to care about getting their auction fees. If you are a buyer and have trouble with a seller, they don't want to hear about it. They've actually structured the website to prevent buyers from directly contacting eBay personnel with specific complaints for resolution. Regardless, if you read the seller's and buyer's feedback, you shouldn't get burned. ;)

I got mine off ebay. The only thing better than getting a good like new NX (okay an NZ) is getting one for less than retail :)

Correction: No, I am just an old fart :D! I am only saying eBay would be a last resort for me and I am very fussy about my stuff too!
Very good NXTacy! With my luck, I'd get the bad actor;)!

The only issue I ever had with ebay was one seller who took 3 weeks to deliver my order. No deadbeat sellers and no buyers since I haven't sold anything (yet).

I've lost count as to the number of PDA's I've bought and sold on eBay. My NX60 was purchased on Ebay for $400. The seller also lived in NYC and I met him in person for the exchange. No Paypal fees, shipping fees. or waiting. We were both very pleased with the transaction. I just sold my T615C a couple of days ago on eBay also.

Thanks for all the replies and words of encouragement.
I will post to this thread again once I receive the NX70v and let you all know whether or not it was a good purchase (keeping fingers crossed until then). :)

HoooooooRaaaaaaaaaa!!!
As I promised, I am letting you all know that my brand new retail boxed CLIE NX70V arrived via FedEx overnight shipment today.
This in fact was new factory sealed and not refurbished. FYI, according to the SONY registration web site, serial numbers that begin with a '9' are refurbished units and only come with a 90 day warranty.
I purchased this on eBay on March 12th and the seller had a little problem with the service he uses to ship his items, so he overnighted it to me via FedEx at a cost to him of $45.00!!
YMMV on eBay, but it appears that the $469.00 I spent was well worth it.
Thanks to all who replied to my original post. This forum is the greatest.
