Ok, I am highly highly considering purchasing the TG50. It has everything that I want, and unlike a lot of people, I like having a built-in keyboard. However, the one thing I am very unsure about is what the word processor will be for the TG50. My main purpose for having a pda is to take notes for school. Apparently there is no Documents to Go for the TG50, meaning no Word to Go. To my understanding (which isn't much), Word to Go is what users use to type notes. Does this mean I will have to use Memo Pad to type my notes? I am very confused. This is not unusual.

If it doesn't come with it, you can always buy the program. If it did come with it, I think it would just be a trial copy and have limited use or a time period. But you won't have to use memo pad to type your notes.

Do you have a CLIE before? Chances are you have Documents to Go. Just install the program from your old CLIE CD-ROM once you get the TG50.

Get Wordsmith instead. I had Docs to go for free on my Nr70v cd but I keep using wordsmith, which I paid for.

More than likely Documents to Go will be included. DTG version 4 came with my T615, DTG version 5 came with my Tungsten T, likely DTG version 5 will come with the TG50.

Bummer, I just noticed Documents To Go is _not_ on the included software list at SonyStyle for the TG50.

Right, no Docs to Go with the TG50 (or the NZ90) Instead, you get PicselViwer, which does a great job of allowing you to look at many types of files but you can't edit them.

I like the idea of Piscel Viewer, but I'd still prefer having D2G or WS for editing of the files. It's a shame Sony did not include some sort of editing software with the TG50.

Docs to Go is pretty good but so are Wordsmith and Quickword. I'm glad these other companies will have a better chance to compete.
