Does it really freeze up? As in "forever"? Or is it just really slow?

I've had both an NX73 w/ WL110 card and a TH55. Both ClieMail and NetFront on both devices will often appear to "lock-up" the device. But then, after 45-75 seconds, it'll spring to life. Annoys me, but it appears to just be the way it works.

That said, you might really have a problem sending. Check and double-check that you have the SMTP settings correct. All of them, not just the server name.

Nope, it freezes forever. I know that 4 mins isn't forever but its ridiculous. An error popped up saying check your server name but when I use Bluetooth this error doesn't come up.

I assume you can RECEIVE, right?

I wonder if your wireless router (and your wireless connection on your UX40), then, is setup correctly. Most likely it is, but there might be something wrong that prevents this.

Specifically, I'm wondering if your ISP's outgoing (SMTP) server requires some sort of special authentication. It's possible that, with the way you have your wireless connection setup, that the SMTP server isn't getting the authentication it needs. For example, I cannot send e-mail via my ISP unless I'm at home. When I'm elsewhere (e.g., a hotspot or the office), the SMTP server sees that I'm on a "foreign" network and won't let me send.

It's possible that, even if you're within the right network, the SMTP server isn't seeing that based on some configuration issue.

With Bluetooth, I'm guessing that you're using Internet sharing. With WiFi, I'm guessing you're going straight to a router. That can make a difference.

I can send but I cannot receive. I have it setup the my SMTP gets authenification. I checked my webmail send/recieve ports in telnet and POP3 is ok but my SMTP isn't showing anything so it's probably my router. I'll find a way to fix it.
