Can somebody give me and other newbies on how to get to and use the Clie channel mIRC. Just the basics would be enouph for me ill get it quickly.

I've always been fascinated with mIRC but never had the opportunity to actually sit down and play with it.

The reason I am asking this is becuase I saw a post yesterday talking about a channel for the Clie's I saved the web page but when i tried going over it, it wouldn't show up.

Can the person who posted that please posted again. :D

(PS: I know very little on the mIRC)

UPIRC works fine for me. It's also better then any other palm irc client out there. I use it daily to get on dalnet. Or at least when dalnet is up. I run it right off my 128mb memstick and have never had it crash. Logging works fine too. Then again I have the registered version :) I hop back and forth between upirc, icq, aim all the time.

Can you access UPIRC through the WLan card, or do you have to have a modem? This would be great using the wireless lan.

I use it primarily over WiFi. I've also used it over a PPP connection over IR in my office where I don't have WiFi and am restricted from installing mirc on the desktop.

upIRC has some font issue with my NX.. could it be because its not a registered version?

Custom font support (uses FontHack-compatible fonts). I can use any font that is on my system. I don't think I had that option until I registered. I only have word to go and the rom fonts but all of them are available to me. At the main screen click your menu icon, click Preferences, on the right, click display, click the button that says Fonts. You can even assign colors to the events ie notices, joins, parts.

Upirc doesn't support d/l files that I know of. It does support dcc chat and logging channel and pvt chat to VFS.

When i tried it the fonts didnt display correctly at all is what i meant. It was like the lines were stacking on each other and you could not read what was going on with it.
