1. How can I clear the history of the web pages visited in netfont (I have version 3.0 that came with the ux originally)

2. Is there an easier way to have the palm autodetect any available access points instead of doing this every time
NETFONT> OPTIONS> PREFERENCES >DETAILS >AUTO CONNECT> SCAN
it's such a pain doing it this way all the time

2nd part of this question..is there a program that will beep and tell you when it's found an access point even while the clie is closed (probably not possible but just curious.)

1) Open netfront, go to the "Open" menu and choose "Enter Address". Once there, hit the menu button and choose "Delete Past Input." You can also use the "Delete Cache", "Delete Cookie", and "Delete Auth Info" to clear out further space.

2 & 3) I don't believe that's possible

I have the same question, except that I did not see an option to delete "Past Input". In "Enter Address", I hit the Menu button and an "Edit" drop down menu appears (Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Select All, Keyboard, Graffiti Help). I am able to delete history by going to "History" and hitting menu there and selecting "delete all". I can't find a way to delete the Past Input.

Maybe SharkScan can answer the 2nd question. Have you tried it, KEVIN88GT ?

Not maybe, Sharkscan DA does answer the second question, perfectly, in fact. There is not a way to scan while the pda is turned off, if that is what you are asking. Sony didnt provide any programming info for the Wireless setup, so even sharkscan is just a reverse engineered implementation of a function thats already on the device.

sharkscanda should do exactly what you're looking for. I would personally love to design an all in one easy scanner that had options to do things like look for access points at predefined intervals and notify you of success. unfortunately, as jjf eloquently put, given Sony's stubborness it's VERY hard to do (please note: i don't think it's impossible, just extremely time consuming and difficult)

if Sony ever releases the API publicly, i'd be more than happy to do such a thing!

Impossible like landscape on Clies, or impossible like Mobile-Stream releasing an update.
