This is hopefully going to sound like suuuuch a stupid question... please take in mind that I personally don't have an NX70v (I have an NR70v) but I need to get this to work for a friend...
I need to get the pictures taken on the NX70v with the NX70v's camera on to the PC. The NX70v does not have a memory stick so they're on the internal memory.
With my NR70v it's easy... I use Picture Gear Lite 4.5.
What do I use with the NX70v??? I have looked at the software which came on the NX70v CD and I can't figure it out...
What software do I need to use to transfer (still) pictures from the NX70v's meory taken with its camera to the PC???
Thanx,

Without a memory stick on the NX70 it's tough, if not at all. Have you tried to beam them to the NR70? Do you have a Sony camera or Walkman with a memory stick you temporarily use?

Well when you hotsync I believe it transfers the .pdb version of the pictures to your dektop at least mine does. I have 3 pictures on internal and I remember seeing them on my desktop. If they aren't, find them in a file manager and change the properties to have them backed up. This should put them in the backup directory of your user name. This should work because I remember having to hard reset and when I resynced it copied everything back on and the pictures were back as well. After this I would think that there is a converter that should convert it to jpeg or something.

Thanks...
I'm certain nothing gets backed up to the desktop.
I'll start looking in the backup directory just like on my NR70v.
On the NR70v the pictures come through as PRC files and then Picture Gear Lite is used to find them and convert them to JPEG.
What software would I use on the PC to find and open the NX70v pictures files with???

Thanks for the info. The NR70v is with me in Paris. We have 3 NX70v Cliés we are dealing with (one in New York, one in Switzerland and another in London). Beaming is going to be a bit difficult.
None of the 3 NX70v Cliés have memory sticks.
I don't understand why I should be able to easily take and transfer photos from the internal memory of my NR70v and it could be so difficult with an NX70v which is supposed to be a better version!
Its just that simple:
Just install Clie mail and attach it to a fictional mail.
Your email client will have the mail including your photos.
Don't bother with MS- you will need them for better.. ;-)

Ask Sony, why do they do a lot of things. The Palm OS has limitations in file types and I don't know why they dumped the PGP formant. Maybe Sony wasn't selling enough memory sticks, which at one time were included. The Sony manual also says you need the memory stick. My only other thought was to create an album and HotSync that to the PC.

if you compare the .PDB and the equivalente .JPG you realize that they are VERY similar. In order to convert a .PDB to a .JPG you only have to strip some bytes. You can compare it with an hex editor and find it out yourself or you can wait until I have some time and write the details (or write a small proggie)
