Are there any good sites that review devices and compare them? I didn't know until I joined this forum that there were other brands besides palm that had palm OS. I know one of the 1st sites I got for good reviewing of PC hardware etc is tomshardware. So I'm wondering if there are any real good palm reviewer and comparison sites.

Thanks

You can probably get reviews at:
www.pdabuyersguide.com
and at
www.brighthand.com

there are probably more places but i can't think of them right now.. .
imho reading thru 1src (people posting problems they have with their device, or cool! etc postings) gave me a better idea of what the devices were about than reviews i read elsewhere

You could try www.cnet.com and check their handheld section...

www.nextag.com has a really good review/comparison of various handhelds and pdas.

So far at 1st glance it appears there are alot of uses that like the sony clie models however taking a look at their site it appear current models use MS instead of SD :( I guess more research is needed. The current poll on units shows Tungsten and a couple of the clie models to be the most popular owned. Perhaps Palm and or sony will have one with all the features I want on the os6 units when they come out. The T5 looks nice but no builtin WiFi so that kind of makes the unit pricy IMO. It also appears to be the Tungsten E shell. If anyone owns this is it identical to the E in design (my main point of wondering did they use the same poorly designed easy breakable power button on the top?)

Do any of the good units out there have interchangeable batteries?

Thanks all for your feedback. I will check these sites in detail when I get home.

Forget Sony. They departed the US and European markets, and their most recent release sells for about $1000 in Japan.

I agree with your assessment that the T5 w/o WiFi does make the price seem high. It doesn't look like Palm gets it...
