Guys, help.
Should I remplace my NX80V with a TH55??
I'm thinking about selling my NX80V with a 512MB CF Card
and staying with my 512 MB MStick and buy a new TH55.
Should I make this deal, or should wait until next year
to see if some new clie for the USA is launched?
ThanX

I had to use my replacement plan on my NX80 and I switched to the TH55. I love it. Of course, I've been looking for a true replacement for the T665 that my NX80 replaced. I never really used the keyboard on the NX80, so the clamshell design was pretty much wasted on me. I also never had any large CF cards so loosing that didn't hurt much either.
The TH55 is incredibly light compared to the NX80. I didn't know how I'd like the jog-wheel location but it is very natural for me since I usually rest my finger there anyway. I haven't noticed any difference in the speed either (since the TH-55 has the Sony processor)
Here's what I was dissappointed in: The alarms I had on my NX80 do not work properly on the Th-55. I used them extensively and I had to do a lot of searching for a clock/alarm program that would play the Sony ADPCM sound files (Aalarm does it). The other thing is the camera. It is the 0.3 MP camera instead of the NX80's 1.3MP. I miss the resolution. I also miss being able to rotate the camera without moving the PDA. I use a keyboard and often want to take a picture while using it, but the camera points down toward the desk. Oh well.
These negatives in no way affect my over all pleasure with the TH55. It is a great machine and I love it, probably more than my bulky NX80.

I just replaced my NX73 with a TH55. Why? Because the NX73 was just too big. I had it for about a year and found that I didn't use the keyboard as much as I thought I would. That mean I was lugging around a keyboard when I didn't need to.
I'm still trying to get used to the jog and left/right buttons. I think I like the placement, but I'm having a hard time learning to use them correctly.
I also like the fact that WiFi is built it. I was a pain to keep plugging/unplugging my WL110.
The TH55's power button is a problem -- it's in a bad location and is hard to use.
And I agree with Burns... the fact that my old ADPCM alarms don't work anyone is a disappointment.
That said, I'm pretty happy I made the switch.

1) your TH55 doesn't have a ADPCM ALarm? Can't you assign recorded sounds to alarms?
2) TH55 has bluetooth? If not, there is some (bluetooth memory stick) at sale or it's already impossible to buy it now due to its discontinued production.
ThanX again guys

I went from and NX73 to TH55 and then back to the NX73. The TH is a fantastic PDA and is ultracompact compared to the NX. But I just missed the side jogdial, button layout for games, compact flash, enhanced IR remote, faster processor, and alarms too much. Plus the fact that I couldn't angle the camera really bothered me. The voice recorder button was not in a nice easy to reach spot... and I should say that applies to all of the buttons! I had high expectations for ClieOrganiser but I ended up reverting back to Datebk5 after seeing how slow it was. It was slow! Freenotes was slow but nice, yet not as versatile as ClieMemo on the NX. After 2 weeks with the TH I had to go back. Good thing nobody wanted to buy my NX. I would have definitely regretted selling it. But the TH was very nice as a wireless PDA and the battery life was fantastic, but not miles much better than the NX battery life. Going from a T665C it is a remarkable step up, but from the NX ... you gain some and you lose some. The loss wasn't worth it to me.

ADPCM alarms are not supported on the TH55 with DateBk5. They were supported on the NX73.
US TH55 has no bluetooth. Eurpoean does.
